Ways You Can Help

We welcome a wide range of skills:

Fundraising & Grants: Research, proposal support, donor communications
Communications & Marketing: Social media, newsletters, photography, website updates
Design & Multimedia: Graphics, slides, visual content
Program Support: Curriculum development (remote) and in person support for 9-12th grade newcomer youth
Events & Community Engagement: Event setup, logistics, family and community support
Administrative & Data Support: Spreadsheets, attendance tracking, reporting
Translation & Language Support: Interpretation, translation, multilingual classroom support

Time & Commitment

Typical: 2-4 hours per week (some roles flexible or occasional)
Volunteer Term: 3-6-12 months dependent on role (extensions welcome)
Event Roles: 5-6 times/year or during specific events

Logistics & Expectations

Complete a brief orientation to learn our mission and youth safety protocols
Some roles may require background clearance
Volunteer remotely or in-person at our San Francisco or Charleston sites
Communicate availability and commit to scheduled sessions to help programs run smoothly
