What Advisors Do
Advisory Board members provide hands-on support that strengthens I M U’s strategy, systems, and sustainability. This may include:
- Supporting organizational strategy and impact-building
- Contributing professional expertise (e.g., development, communications, operations, finance)
- Assisting with fundraising, donor and foundation outreach, or partnerships
- Serving as ambassadors within personal and professional networks
Time Commitment & Logistics
- Full Advisory Board meets twice a year
- Advisors serve a three-year term, with the option to renew
- Advisors collaborate with leadership throughout the year on projects aligned with skills and availability
- Time commitment varies; expectations are clearly communicated
- Most meetings are virtual
