Peace Club Camping Retreat

October 7th to 9th, 2016

The IMU had a camping retreat at the Redwood Park in Oakland, California.

We stayed there for two nights and three days. It was from October 7th to 9th. Eleven students were transported by our amazing teachers with their own cars. We also want to thank all the donors who supported us, without whose help we would not have a camping trip this year. Every student had an unforgettable experience. We learned about identities, non-violent communication, socialization and how we can make our school better for students.

We also participated in activities where we needed to answer hard questions like “What hurts you most?” and describe conflicts in our life that we couldn’t solve. However, we had a lot of fun. It was amazing communicating with new people in a different environment. We were like a big family. At the end of the trip, we decided to start meeting once a month to plan new good ideas and strategies to find what needs our school has and what we can do about it.

We are creating the change in many different ways.

❤️ Love & Peace ✌️
